Juliet Thompson, Oregon LMT 21377, received her massage training at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, completing over 500 hours of education in anatomy, physiology, massage clinic, professional practices and ethics. She feels that everyone should have access to the healing benefits of massage, especially those who encounter isolation, trauma or the travails of everyday life on the planet.
Juliet's philosophy is to focus on the client's needs, and to provide an experience where the person on the table can let go to complete relaxation. The endorphins created during the relaxation process provide healing energy to wherever the body needs it. There is also an edge to massage where body repair occurs. Focusing on the areas that have developed restriction in movement, whether from a recent occurrence or in the past, tissues can be rejuvenated and gently coaxed out of their protective postures. When they begin to realign by the use of focused touch applied with intention, the body finds a new perspective, and when this perspective is reinforced through self-care, stretching, posture and diet, the mind also finds freedom.
Juliet has chosen massage as her new career, and brings a wealth of technical knowledge, life experience, depth and care to the field of bodywork.
